CHLOROPLAST "solar panel"
The Chloroplast is the energy source for the cell in plants. It is the organelle where photosynthesis happens by the chloroplast taking energy from the sun and turns it into energy, or food, for the cell, like a solar panel that absorbs sun energy to electricity. It is enclosed by a double membrane, and inside you would see thylakoids. A stack of thylakoid is a grand. Chlorophyll is what takes in the suns energy and is located on top of the thylakoids. Chlorophyll is also the dye that gives plants their green color.

mitochondria "power plant"
The Mitochondria is found in eukaryote cells and is the power plant of the cell because it is the main source of energy. They have a double membrane and a liquid inside called the matrix. The inner membrane folds up to create the cristae. Inside, you can find ribosomes and their own DNA. The mitochondria is the organelle where cellular respiration happens. It breaks down food and converts it into ATP (energy) for the cell to use.
